Police: Pennsylvania Mom Sent Shoeless Son Out in Cold

PITTSBURGH -- Police in Pittsburgh say a woman kicked her 12-year-old son out of the house without shoes in single-digit temperatures.

Police received a call around 2:30 a.m. Sunday about a boy outside without shoes. Officers say they found the boy walking around coatless in the snow as temperatures hovered a few degrees above zero.

Authorities say the boy told officers his mother, 38-year-old Camella Cosby, had yelled at him and kicked him out after she came home from a night out.

Cosby was arraigned on a child-endangerment charge and posted $5,000 bail. The boy and another child were placed in the custody of county child welfare workers.

A phone listing for Cosby could not immediately be located Monday morning.
