Police: Nashville student shot on school bus

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police say a student was shot while she was on a school bus outside a Nashville, Tenn., high school.

Police tell WTVF that the teen was hit by gunfire on a school bus near Pearl-Cohn High School just after classes dismissed Tuesday afternoon.

Metro police have not released the student's name or details of her injuries.

Police said three or four suspects have been arrested and two weapons have been recovered.

Authorities do not yet know whether the girl was the intended target or if any students were involved in the shooting.
